Health and Fitness Tips

  1. To calculate your ideal weight, take 100 pounds for your first 5 feet in height.
  2. Lose 10-40 Kgs immediately. For Free Weightloss & Beauty advices Visitwomenhealthandbeauty.com

  3. Then you add 5 pounds for each additional inch.  For example, if you are 5 feet 2 inches, you should weigh 110 pounds, and that’s calculated by taking the 100 pounds for your first 5 feet and 5 pounds for each additional inch, which is another 10 pounds.  If you are 15 or more pounds over this ideal weight, then you are considered over-weight.  If you are 25 or more pounds over this ideal weight, you are considered obese..

  4. So how do you tell if you are overweight or actually obese?  There is a very complicated measurement known as the Body Mass Index, or BMI, that can tell you the answer, unless you are a whiz at algebra.  The basic premise, however, is that depending on your height (in inches) and your weight (in pounds), if your BMI is between 25-30, you are overweight.  If your BMI is greater than 30, you are considered obese.  There are BMI tables in almost every magazine that you read, where you can look up your own BMI

  5. Males take 106 pounds for the first 5 feet in height and add 6 pounds for each additional inch.

Goa Baga Beach

beach travel in goaGoa Beach Travel India, Baga is situated on the north end of Calangute, carpeted with clean brown sand. Caressed by turquoise blue waves, Baga is a better option for those wishing to enjoy some restful moments if the hustle and bustle of Calangute is not in their list of things. It is a fishing beach with international tourists marinating in the sun and domestic visitors paddling. There is the grove of palms that comes fairly close to the water's edge.

Beach Travel in Goa, The Baga River flows down one side of it offering a pleasant diversion for children and those who love the water but can't risk the rip currents that swirl round the mouth. Where the river and the sea meet, and on the far right bank, there is a group of black rocks against which the sea crashes in dramatic explosions of spray. An attractive estuary can be waded at the low tide, the walk round the headland leading to Anjuna beach. Early risers may see fishermen returning with their catch.

Goa India Beach Travel, If you travel to Goa, you need not worry about accommodation. There are plenty of guesthouses and hotels in Baga and nearby Calangute. One planning a longer stay should look out for 'To Let' signs, as there are plenty along the back lanes. Hotels and Resorts near Baga Beach, Goa

Benaulim Beach in Goa

Goa India Beach TravelBeach Travel in Goa, When you travel to Goa don't miss the opportunity to visit Benaulim Beach located less than 2 km south of Colva Beach. Benaulim is more peaceful and serene than Colva and the best thing about the place is that it is still rather undiscovered by domestic tourists even though it is a fishing beach. Just out of site beyond the palm trees is the Benaulim village. One wouldn't generally expect a beach to have strings of mythology attached to it but Benaulim is one beach that does. This is said to be the place where the arrow of Lord Parsurama landed when he created the state of Goa.

A lovely spot for beach holidays in Goa, Benaulim Beach is great for swimming and long beach walks. Walks or rides on the Beach Road through picturesque countryside 4 km to Colva are also equally enjoyable. The otherwise tranquil beach tends to get crowded on weekends when it attracts local picnickers. The main attractions of Benaulim Beach are the Dolphin Cruises offered here, which are reasonably priced and are definitely worth it as the chances of spotting dolphins prance about are very high. The Beach Bonanza Fair that is held on successive Sundays from mid-April onwards on the Benaulim Beach is a must for tourists who travel to Goa.

Benaulim is one of the few places where one can glimpse typical Goa handicrafts. The tranquil and charming village of Benaulim is famous for its rosewood furniture and the carvings that one finds on these pieces are really noteworthy. Bullfights can be seen at Benaulim from early October to late May. The bullfights are usually held in an old rice field with no fences or barricades just outside the village, to the beat of taped Konkani music. Situated atop a hill just beyond the village is the church of St. John the Baptist. This church is a wonderful example of typical Goan Christian architecture.

Beach Travel in Goa, Being a prime tourist destination there are large number of hotels in the close vicinity of Benaulim Beach. The numerous hotels and resorts near Benaulim Beach provide the best kind of services and facilities. Moreover, there are a number of budget hotels along the Benaulim Beach catering to the needs of tourists who travel to Goa or are interested in exploring the scenic region around.
