The major floral species include Acacia arabica (Karivelam), Acacia
leucofolia (Velvelam), Santalum album (Chandanam), Anogeissuslatifolia
(Mazhukanjiram), Elaeocarpus recurvatus (Bhadraksham) and Strobilanthus
kunthianus (Neelakurinji).

You can hire safari vehicles to explore the flora and fauna of the park.
Guides are also available to take you to places from where sightings are
common. Apart from that, you can also enjoy boating inside the sanctuary.
The terrain in and around the park is also known to offer good hiking
trails.
Best Time to Visit
The ideal time to pay a visit to the sanctuary is between December and
April.
