A prehistory enthusiast, Fred Fawcett went ahead to make further inquiries and what followed resulted into the discovery of the spellbinding Edakkal Caves in Kerala. The handiwork on the walls of the caves were later attributed to the Kurumbars, a tribal people of the Wayanad region.
