Covering
an area of 97 sq km, the Eravikulam National Park is located in the southern
Indian state of Kerala. The park boasts the world's largest population of
the endangered Niligiri Tahr. Anamudi, the highest peak in South India,
overlooks the sanctuary. The hill station of Munnar is closely located to
the national park.

and the Atlas Moth, the largest of its kind, are big attraction for

Nilgiri pipit, Nilgiri wood pegeon, white bellied shortwing, Nilgiri
verditer flycatcher and Kerala laughing thrush.
