Wildlife Sanctuary Idukki is located in the heart of a state which
is also referred to as " God's Own Country", well you all guessed
it right, we are talking about Kerala. Wildlife Sanctuary Idukki is one of Kerala's finest abodes for wildlife. The sanctuary occupies the forest land
between the Cheruthoni river and the Periyar river thus covering an area of
about 33 sq km. Wildlife Sanctuary Idukki also holds a scenic lake around the sanctuary
which is adorned by the canopy of tropical evergreen and deciduous trees.
This enhances the aura of the whole place.
Climate
The place experiences tropical climate. However the most favourable time to
make a tour to this sanctuary is during the months of October to April.
Flora
