Erected by King Narasimhadeo during the 13th century AD, the Konark Sun Temple of Orissa in eastern India represents the chariot of Sun God. Though the country has other sun temples, the one at Konark precedes them all. The Konark Dance Festival, which runs here for three days, invites hordes of tourists from all around the globe.
