Trekking in Ladak, the place that inspires awe as
well as curiosity, is the northern most part of the northern most province
of India, the beautiful state of Jammu and Kashmir. About 2 lakh inhabitants
of the place live in the two districts of the region - Leh and Kargil.
During winters, the region used to remain almost cut off from the rest of
the country due to snow
fall and nasty winter that made it difficult for us
to use the highways Srinagar-Leh and Manali-Leh, the routes that connected
Ladakh to the other parts of the country.
In spite of the fact that Ladakh has
been thrown open to tourism by the government, the name of the place still
evoke an image of the place that remains unexplored, which holds true (at
least for you). So ... join us at Vacations India to enjoy these
breathtaking and ravishing trekking routes at Ladakh.
Even if you treat the spectacular views as just a bonus, the Ladakh
trekking still retains that charm that make you treat this place as ideal,
different and exciting for trekking, especially for the energetic people
with an inclination for outdoor activities.
Ladakh India Trekking - Usually, the trekking Treks season here was
confined to summer months, which is not the case anymore as improved
equipments and transportation have made it possible for us to go to Ladakh
even in winters Ladakh India Trekking. However, winter treks are more popular in the low altitude
areas.
The areas such as Tso Moriri and Nubra
have been opened to public only in 1994 and therefore have that unexplored
aura about them. However, the popular trekking routes in India Ladakh Trekking are :
The Pangong Lake Circuit : Pangong is actually a high altitude lake
that is a very popular tourist spot with the trekkers. It is a route with
great landscapes and goes through Shey and Thikse. It goes over Chang-La
pass which is, considering its altitude, is easy to tackle. This route
reaches its last point at Spangmik, because the foreigners are allowed only
up to this point.
Kargil : It is right there in the Himalayas, and acts as a base and
take off destination for those who are going to Zanskar Valley Ladakh Treks.
Nubra Valley : Nubra Valley is with the eastern ridge of the
Karakoram range in North ladakh . This trekking route is among the difficult
ones and it passes through the Khardung-La pass Ladakh Treks.
