Pearls South India TourismFamously known as Maharaja's Palace, the Mysore Palace in Mysore is a stunning piece of history and the most splendid palatial structure in the city of Mysore in Karnataka Palace tour. This royal residence of the Wodeyar rulers was originally erected in wood. In 1897 it was burnt down only to be rebuilt in 1912. Symbolising the Indo-Saracenic architectural style, the existing palace in karnataka was designed by the renowned British architect Henry Irwin. » Gombe Thotti or the Doll's Pavilion : The three-storey structure of the palace can be entered through the 'Gombe Thotti' or the Doll's Pavilion. The gallery exhibits ceremonial objects and sculptures from all over India and Europe.

» Elephant Gate : It is the main entrance of the Mysore Palace in Mysore. Floral designs and the india mysore palace royal symbol of a double-headed eagle decorate the gate. Moving to the north of the gate, you can see exquisite dolls.

» Kalyana Mandapa or the Marriage Pavillion : Lying to the south, the Marriage Pavillion has a gabled ceiling with beautiful geometrical patterna and a chandelier brought from Checoslavakia. Wrought iron pillars from Glasgow and Scotland are worth seeing.
