Climate & Best Time
The winter months from November to February are exceedingly pleasant and
are the best time to make a visit to the place. However those wishing to
enjoy the excitement of the wildlife including tigers can opt for visiting
the place during summers because in this season the animals come out around
the lake which offers the tourists a worthwhile sight of them.
Flora
The vegetation of travel to nagarhole wildlife sanctuary is quite refreshing as compared to the other
national parks.

The park is adorned by the moist mixed- deciduous forest in its northern
and western fringe, by dry thorn forest in the east and by the dry deciduous
in the southeast. Other vegetation include- bamboo, teak,eucalyptus and
cassia which provide a geographical variety to the entire place.
Fauna
The vegetation provides a refuge for a wide range of animals. The Nagarhole
National Park Travelholds the resident wildlife of the Nilgiri hills. Jungle
inhabitants include tiger, Nilgiri tahr, Nilgiri langur, bison, leopard,
Asian elephant, wild boar, deer, dhole (wild dog) and porcupines.
Avifauna
The Nagarhole National Park Travel offers a wide spectrum of birds. There are more
than 250 species of birds that include Malabar pied horn bill, Green
Imperial Pigeon, spot bellied eagle, owl, white bellied woodpecker etc.

picture perfect destination in every manner. There are no local transport
here but for the tourists and their purpose of seeing the area, the forest
department arranges for jeeps and vans taking into view the comfort level of
