Here to mention is the Nagarhole National Park. The Nagarhole National Park Travel lies at a distance of 96 km from Mysore. The park was established in the year 1955 as a travel to nagarhole wildlife sanctuary in Karnataka, later on it was designated as a national park. The park shares its boundaries with the famous Bandipur National Park. The travel to Nagarhole wildlife sanctuary National Park, officially known as
the " Rajiv Gandhi National Park", is a part of the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve, India's largest stretch of protected forest, an area which includes, besides Nagarhole, the neighboring sanctuaries of Bandipur, Mudumalai and Wyanad. The park is the habitat for disparate endangered species. The park is spread across 645 sq km of the land and is centred by the perennial water reservoir. Nagarhole is one of the best maintained parks in India offering rich variety of site seeing scopes.

Climate & Best Time
The winter months from November to February are exceedingly pleasant and are the best time to make a visit to the place. However those wishing to enjoy the excitement of the wildlife including tigers can opt for visiting the place during summers because in this season the animals come out around the lake which offers the tourists a worthwhile sight of them.
