» Naina Peak :

While mentioning the tourist attractions of Nainital , the Naina peak situated about 5 km from the town, the Naina Peak is one of the most popular tourist spots in the Kumaon region.

Spectacular views of the surroundings including a bird's eye view of Nainital and the snow covered peaks of the Himalayas among cool scented air and shades of tall trees are just some of the things that attract many tourists to this splendid place.

» Dorothy Seat - Nainital Tours:

The second important tourist attractions in Nainital is the Dorothy Seat, also known as Tiffin Top, was built in the memory of Mrs. Dorothy Kellet, by her husband. A winding path of about 4 km from the town leads to this beautiful spot that presents beautiful views of the Himalayas and the picture perfect surroundings.

»Corbett National Park:

The Corbett National Park, the first national park in India, is situated about 115 km from Nainital. Spread over an area of 524 sq. km, the park was established in 1935 as the Hailey National Park to protect the fast depleting wildlife resources in the area.

Tiger being the main attraction, the park harbours animals including elephant, panther, deer, pig and porcupine among others. There are more than 500 species of birds here. Among the reptiles found here are python, crocodile and many species of lizards and snakes.

» Horse Riding :

Exploring the beautiful city on the back of a horse is a unique experience that should not be missed by tourists travelling to this picturesque city.

The sites including the Mall, Snow View Point, Tiffin Top and Kilburi can be best explored strolling through the city on the back of a horse. Travel to the interiors of the city and the beautiful countryside to interact with the local people and explore the rich culture of the place.

» By Air :

Pantnagar, situated about 70 km from Nainital, is the nearest airport. Buses and taxis are avaiadventurelable from Pantnagar to reach Nainital. Other airports located near Nainital are Delhi and Lucknow.

» By Rail :

Kathgodam is the nearest railway station, situated at a distance of about 34 km from Nainital.

Regular trains connect Kathgodam to Delhi, Calcutta and Lucknow, from where buses or taxis can be taken to reach Nainital.

» By Road :

The State Transport Corporation and many private tour operators provide buses to Nainital from Delhi, Lucknow and other neighbouring cities. It takes around 8 hours to cover the distance of 206 km from Delhi to Nainital.
